My name is Elizabeth Edouard and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I started my journey in the mental health field after completing my undergraduate studies and began working with elderly individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. As I began to better understand the human mind and the ways our environment, upbringing and support system affects our mental health, I developed a deep interest in furthering my studies.

I earned my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice at Kean University in New Jersey. I went on to earn my Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University in Georgia. While in Graduate school I had the opportunity to intern in two vastly different environments. I worked with adolescent youth in a school setting as well as adults in a County jail. After graduating with my counseling degree, I worked in psychiatric hospitals, senior living communities, community mental health clinics and most recently providing crisis support to Veterans.

My services are geared towards adults age 18 and older of all backgrounds. My 15 years of experience has given me the knowledge effectively support and guide those struggling with depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem, career transitions, and mood disorders. I would describe my approach as open minded, empathetic and goal oriented. I draw from a mixture of Cognitive Behavior therapy, Adlerian therapy and Psychodynamic therapy.

Thank you for taking the first steps towards creating a healthier you!
